{Synopsis} – Kyle and Mia are determined to help their friend, Emma, find a pet that won't make her mom sneeze. But Emma doesn't want a pet she can't cuddle, and Kyle and Mia are running out of ideas. Will they ever come up with the perfect no-sneeze pet, or is Emma out of luck?
{My thoughts} – This is a cute little book about three friends Emma, Mia and Kyle trying to find a no-sneeze pet. Emma’s mom is allergic to animals with fur so they search for an animal without that she can attempt to love. They go to neighbors and friends houses getting suggestions and visiting with the pets they have. As I was reading this I half assumed that Emma’s pet would be a piglet but I was surprised to learn it was a hamster.
This is a really nicely illustrated book, that I believe any 2nd-4th grader would be able to enjoy. The language is simple and it has a dictionary at the end that helps children to sound out some of the more difficult words within the books pages. I think this series has wonderful potential.
