{Synopsis} – Bonnie the Honeybee is sad because she would rather be a beautiful butterfly. But with Mama Bee's help, Bonnie discovers that beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes. Author Lori K. Lee uses this adorable character to help children understand that we are all different yet beautiful and special in our very own way.
{My thoughts} – This book is about a little honeybee named Bonnie. She is sad because she doesn’t think she is pretty or beautiful. She is sad because she thinks that a butterfly looks better then she does. This book is a great book for children that don’t think they are pretty enough. It is often difficult for children to understand that not everyone needs to look a certain way in order to be beautiful and Bonnie’s mom helps her to understand just how beautiful she and her friends truly are.
I enjoyed this book and I think it can make an awesome addition to any child’s library.
