{My thoughts} – {date entire series completed} – {date}
– {Book 0.5: Before} – {12.10.2013} – I had always wondered what Dale’s back story was when I had been reading {BETWIXT}. The back story is very much engaging and quite wonderfully written. It really helps the reader to better understand him, where he came from and why he was perceived the way he was in High School. It makes sense why Nicole hardly paid notice to him in the school hallways and why he liked to keep to himself.
This book although short, justifies his character by every means possible. I really enjoyed getting to know him more and also loved the brief scene with his dog Jester. Although I wish there was more mention of the dog, call me hopeless the book met my expectations after reading {BETWIXT} first. This is a wonderful beginning to an excellently written series.
– {Book 1.0: Betwixt} – {03.22.2013} – This book is about a teenage girl named Nicole {Nicky} Tepper. She’s a lost girl just trying to find her way in the real world. She has been through a lot and she has made herself numb to everything around her.
She spends a night out with her friends, she parties and leaves with her boyfriend Trent – they get into a fight over him wanting what she doesn’t want to give. She gets out of his car and he drives off. She is left there on the side of the road walking.
This is when everything for her changed. She was hit by a car. She was left for dead. She’s left in this ghost like state where she is living her life while she is slowly dying out in the middle of no wheres.
This book is engaging in so many ways. I have always have a major interest in near death experience type things. This book gives an interesting take on that subject. It is well written and well I absolutely fell in love with the dog in the book. I am biased I suppose because the dog shares the same name as my dog! So when I would read about the dog I was actually picturing my own dog in my head doing the things the book had been describing. It’s crazy awesome in my opinion.
If you enjoy reading about near death experiences and different takes on life and the after, this is a fantastic book to read. I highly recommend this book!

Final Conclusion: TBD.
