{Synopsis} – A hilarious, highly-illustrated chapter book from debut author illustrator, Flora Ahn.
Two pugs. One beloved toy bunny. What could go wrong?
Sunny’s new little sister, Rosy, is getting her paws into everything. When Rosy takes Sunny’s favorite toy, Mr. Bunny, and loses him, Sunny is barking mad.
But when Rosy sets off on her own to find and rescue Mr. Bunny, Sunny starts to worry. Rosy’s never been outside by herself before. Sunny will have to gather all the canine courage she has and go after them-before Rosy and Mr. Bunny are both lost fur-ever!
{My thoughts} – This is a really fun chapter book about a couple of pugs named Sunny and Rosy. Sunny loves her routine and time alone while her human is away during the day. One day her human brings home Rosy and tells them they are sisters.
Sunny has a lot of adjusting to do when it comes down to getting use to having a new sister. Sunny has to learn that she needs to be nice, share and spend time with her new sister.
It takes awhile but eventually Sunny comes around. Eventually her and Rosy start to love one another like they were meant to.
I really liked this book. It’s a simple enough book for young children to read. The illustrations are really nice and compliment the story within the pages nicely. I think that this book would be perfect for any young child that is about to be having a new sibling come home. It’s not the same as human siblings but the jist of the lesson is the same. Children have the potential to learn a lot from reading this book. I look forward to reading the next one in the series very soon.
Final Conclusion: 5 Star Rating.
